Now in Our Second Half-Century ....

Watkin Hughes founded North Park. In 1946, “Watty” rented a small space in the back of Johnson’s Feed Store (yes, there actually was a feed store on Aurora). With two employees, Watty proceeded to serve the heating needs of the local area. By 1966, when we moved to our present location, Watty had 28 employees and had expanded our service area to include Seattle and most of King and Snohomish Counties.

Today, North Park Heating, Inc. serves a large portion of western Washington, and has even installed jobs as far away as Japan. Since as far back as anyone seems to be able to remember, Watty’s only son David Hughes has always been a fixture around the shop. In his youth, David would ride with some of the installers, job foremen, and shop fabricators, all the while learning every aspect of the trade. Today, under David’s leadership, we stand ready to meet your heating and cooling needs into the next half-century.
